Mission Statement:
We start with our 1st grade boys in teaching them respect for others and family involvement in achieving assigned tasks toward rank advancement. As the boys advance through the ranks (Tiger, Wolf, Bear, and Webelo) over the five years as a Cub Scout they learn more in depth about specific topics and as they become Webelos they begin to learn more of how important it is to work together as a team and to respect each other as well as learn from each other.
As Boy Scouts, our young boys learn more on how to work together and learn in even more depth of specific topics via the BSA Merit Badge program. They learn how important being a leader can be and is, and they are given the opportunities to use their skills as a leader. As they work through the Boy Scout ranks (Tenderfoot, 1st Class, 2nd Class, Star, Life and Eagle) they become a more well rounded individual acquiring skills they can hopefully use later in life as an adult contributing to the community.
Each year we help contribute to the parish through service projects such as Scouting for Food.

The Church Cleaners are a ministry in our parish that perform a wonderful ministry of cleaning the church. They come into the church, they do their work and they are gone. They are truly humble servants. During the Pandemic, the Church Cleaners volunteered to sanitize the church after the weekend Masses on Saturday and Sunday. They are looking for more members to join their ministry. “Many hands make light work” as the expression goes!

When COVID-19 struck, the first thing we did was place our order for live-streaming equipment at OMPH. Live-streaming the Mass and many of our othre church activitites helped keep our parishioners together even though we were not physically together. We realized quickly, however, that we needed trained individuals to monitor the equipment. The Knights of Columbus stepped up to take charge of this ministry.
