The parish pastoral council is a recommended structure within the Church concerned with pastoral activities of parish life. It is made up of a representative body of the faithful and must include the pastor. The parish pastoral council shares the responsibility for building the parish into a vibrant Christian community that promotes gospel values of love, justice and peace. It is a consultative body of leaders who actively seek the inspiration of the Holy Spirit and are guided by the teachings, laws and recommendations of the universal Church and the local diocesan Church.

This committee is tasked with coordinating and planning activities surrounding the maintenance of the properties and grounds of the parish. This committee monitors the condition of the physical environment and advises the Finance and Pastoral Councils of current facility and grounds status. It functions as a resource for general repairs and saves the parish money by performing repairs and projects instead of hiring others to do them whenever possible. It helps the Finance Council to coordinate and plan capital expenditures.

The Parish Finance Committee is a consultative body of lay persons established to advise the Pastor in matters pertaining to the financial affairs of the parish. The relationship between the Pastor and the council is one of support and collaboration. The authority of the Pastor is not diminished by the establishment of the Parish Finance Council.
Principal responsibilities of the Council include:
♦ Preparation of an annual budget
♦ Ensuring the submission of the regular financial reports to the Diocese
♦ Preparation and publication of an Annual Financial Statement and Report provided to the Parish Pastoral Council and members of the Parish community.

The Our Mother of Perpetual Help School Board of Education is committed to the mission of OMPH School. The board serves the Pastor and Principal on behalf of the school community. It is a consultative group of people who are committed to the school, Catholic education, and who are willing to work with the Pastor and Principal for both the good of the school and the parish.
The role of the OMPH School PTO is to promote good will and cooperation between and among the parents, faculty, administration, and parishes of Our Lady of Lourdes, Our Mother of Perpetual Help, and Saint James. The PTO directs and coordinates parental support to the school through assistance, social functions, and fundraisers.
♦ All parents are urged to become active members of this organization by attending meetings and supporting its efforts and activities during the year.
♦ The PTO is composed of a board, parents of children attending OMPH School, and teachers of the school.
